What European countries were competing for Asian trade during the age of exploration?

Sagot :

There were not one but several European countries competing for Asian trade during the “Age of Exploration”. The Europeans countries were Spain, Portugal, France England and Netherland. It is a fact that Portuguese reached India, Korea and China before any other European country, but it was the British that ruled India for the longest period of time. Other European countries also reached India later on and did some trade with this country, but nobody could compete with the amount of trade profit the British got from India. The British colonized India for a very long time and so was the most profited nation.
