why was William Pitt successful at managing the war for Britain ?

Sagot :

Tails
William Pitt established a policy of getting France out of North America, regardless of resources required. By 1758, there where over 50,000 British troops, be it formal army or colonial militia, in the Americas, equal to the entire population of 'New France' (France's term for Canada and the Ohio river area)

Related fact: Pittsburgh was named after him when George Washington established Fort Pitt at the present-day city during the French-Indian war. (It was originally called Fort Duquesne, but was renamed to Fort Pitt in 1758)
