Okay so in spanish what is the difference between using "somos" for we are and "estamos" for we are.

Like "we are fat" = Estamos gordos  is this right
or "Somos gordos" is this right or wrong.

Somos Gordos this means were fat and estamos Gordos means we are fat. Somos is we are and estamos is that we are fat so there's a little difference between them.
