To agree or disagree with this claim would be to measure the level of efficiency of a a bureaucracy and also its ability to provide on the claims that Weber makes. In some countries bureaucracies can be marked by high efficiency and proper management of resources and individuals. However, in other countries bureaucracies can be highly inefficient and corrupt as a result of the resources which they control. The ability for a bureaucracy to succeed in its goals requires cab able technocrats, low levels of corruption, a strong rule of law, and other factors. Therefore, it depends on the bureaucracy and its implementation to determine its desirability.
