How did WWI change the lives of women

Sagot :

the ww1 killed all the women
During the war a lot of women took on jobs that had previously been done by men.
Many women worked before the war of course, but there were some jobs that were thought to be unsuitable for women, but which they took on during the war. Women worked in farming and forestry, on the railways and the buses, as chauffeurs and ambulance drivers for example.
In the UK they joined the newly formed women's police force. IN both the USA and the UK women worked in munitions factories and contributed considerably to the war effort. In both the UK and the USA, women's competence during the war helped to influence their respective governments to give women the vote.                  So, their lives changed because the War gave them jobs and other opportunities.
