what was the effects as colonists interacted with native americans

Sagot :

Most of them where very happy they were going to war

Answer:

The effect was the war

Explanation:

Initially, the interaction between the colonizers and the natives was good. Dialogue was established with Columbus, there was hospitality to the white man and gift-giving. Even Guacanagarí, a cacique, became friends with the Admiral.

However, after the departure of Columbus, the chiefs complained that the men who stayed had behaved in an abusive manner with the Indians, especially with the women, which motivated a furious reaction of neighboring chieftains,  who set fire to the strong and killed the thirty Spaniards there. This cut the peace and began the war between the two sides.
