What is the answer to..2/3 y + 3 = 29 ? I really don't understand this...please help.

Sagot :

Firstly, you bring over the the +3 to the opposite side so it is 2/3y = 29-3 So 2/3y = 26 So for fractions 2\3y =26/1 y= 2/3 divided by 26/1 so first you flip the equation so 26/1 times 3/2 so 26 x 3 = 78 and 1x2=2, so 78/2= 39 y=39

2/3y +3=29 so if you don't like fraction find a GCF which is three so multiply everything by three and you get 2y+9=87 subtract 9 on both side so 2y=78 and then divide by 2 on both side and y=39
