25m above the beach at an angle of depression of 3 degrees to the nearest meter , how far out is the boat

I'm going to use just trig for this one.

so basically, you're going to find the adjacent side of a triangle by using the other side, so you would use tangent.

[tex]Tan30= \frac{25}{X} [/tex]

then just rearrange and solve for X

[tex] X=\frac{25}{Tan30} [/tex]

And the answer is 43.3 i think.
