what is the relationship between ATP and ADP

Sagot :

ATP is Adenosine Tri-phosphate. ADP is Adenosine Di-phosphate. An ADP molecule has 2 phosphates. So, when another phosphate group is added using a high energy bond, it creates ATP (3 phosphate groups). ATP is used to store energy because the bond for the 3rd phosphate group uses a relatively larger amount of energy. Hope this helps! :)
