Write an equation in slope intercept form for the line through the two points
(-2,2) and (2,-2).

I know how to find the slope but, how do you find the y-intercept? Please explain!

Sagot :

[tex]m= \frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1} \\ \\ m= \frac{-2-2}{2-(-2)} \\ \\ m= \frac{-4}{4} \\ \\ m=-1[/tex]

[tex]y=mx+b \\ \\ y=-1x+b[/tex]

[tex](2)=(-1)(-2)+b \\ \\ 2=2+b \\ \\ 0=b[/tex]

[tex]y=-1x+0 \\ \\ y=-x[/tex]
