A school wants to make a new playground.
They give the job of planning the playground to a group of students. The students decide to use 1/4 of the playground for a basketball court and 3/8 of the playground for soccer field. How much is left for the swings and play equipment

Sagot :

1/4= 2/8 3/8 + 2/8 = 5/8 Therefore, 3/8 of the playground is left for the swings and play equipment
Times 1/4 by 2 so they have the same denominator,  = 2/8
So, 2/8+3/8= 5/8
1- 5/8 = 3/8
3/8 is left for the swings and play equipment.
