artists create different effects in their drawing by using a variety of techniques such as cross-hatching and stippling (true or false) F&M)

Sagot :

True, I am currently taking an art class and were learning about this. Hope I helped. :)

The statement is TRUE.

Artists have used both techniques to create different effects in their drawing for centuries, and still nowadays remains common.

Crosshatching is hatching, the technique of using fine parallel lines drawn closely together which result in a mesh-like pattern. Artists like Albrecht (German Renaissance painter), Leonardo Davinci (especially in his ‘Old Men’ sketch), Franciso Goya (a Spanish painter) tended to use the technique to create the illusion of shade, a tonal effect or textures in a drawing.

As for stippling, using this technique means covering an area with dots, in a strategical way, usually with pen and black ink. A variety of artist uses it to create forms, shapes, contrasts, and depth in a painting without needing lines. Some of them are Giulio Campagnola (Italian graver and painter), Giovanni Caselli (Italian painter) and Pablo Jurado Ruiz (Spanish painter).
