Sagot :
This was surprisingly hard, as I've never studied this poem before. I went into some detail but not a lot. If you would like more just say. (May take a while) Life was hard. I could of done poppies for life but you said it didn't fit you. Feel free to edit as much as you would like!!
The Poem 'In Flanders Field' portrays an image of life and also death. As we already know this poem is about the loss in war and how poppies grew on fallen soldiers graves. The Lines ‘Flanders fields the poppies blow/Between the crosses, row on row,’' gives off this idea. The first line shows poppies are blooming and are untouched to be able to do so. The second line shows there are crosses, which are usually linked to death and graves. This means people have died. By putting these lines together, it shows soldiers have died, which is a sense of death, and the poppies are in full life.
Life is also in this poem, just hidden. ‘We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,…’ This means soldiers have lived. By putting ‘felt dawn, saw sunset glow’ shows you could off only been a living, breathing creation to of felt this. Humans are one of these things. Also the word ‘lived’ highlights this in great detail.
Overall an image of life and unfortunately death is shown.
