What is the main opinion of this text’s writer?
When I first left school and got a job, I had to pay a third of my wages to my parents for board. Another third I had to put into savings. This meant that my take home pay went from £200 a week to £66. At the time, I was furious. However, as I got older, I realised that this taught me a valuable lesson about saving money. All of my friends had wasted theirs, whereas I had enough money to move into a flat when I wanted to move out. I was glad I'd saved my money then.
