Communication is vitally important in today's day and age as it quite frankly determines the differences between a positive or a negative interaction. As more communication methods are being created and the world becomes a more multicultural environment, listening and speaking appropriately changes everything in a social sense. Since social aspects contributes heavily to the livability and emotional connections of humans, we must learn how to respect people's belief systems and how comfortable they are around certain subjects. We must also learn to listen and take on what the other person has to has. I'm sure you've been in a conversation where the other person was just not respecting you or listening to you, and this immediately makes you lose respect for them. This is why it is so important to learn about each other's communication styles and methods to learn and grow. For when this doesn't happen, livability and emotional connections to people, places, and environments decreases rapidly.
