had the same situation last year and 3 years ago.
I had all A's yet I had a u because I talked literally once(this was an art class)(other one was a science class, the teacher just had it out for me) I contacted the counselor but they won't do anything. i would bring up the point that I had all A's so how does it make sense that I would have a U(my school gave U's if you don't pay attention in class or don't do your assignments) my counselor didn't do anything but I would recommend you bring up that point cuz you might get lucky. by the way, under no circumstances try to bring the teacher into a meeting with the counselor. If they unfairly gave you a U they will most likely lie so they don't get into trouble. And honestly they will believe a teacher over a student.
