The Americans really weren't that happy because of the British taxing the Americans way too much, and this understandably made the Americans very upset and they decided to act and throw of the tea off of the British ships. So if you told an American how they felt about the Boston tea party, then they'll call it an absolute victory for themselves.
British view:
This really was quite a disaster for the British since British people just love drinking tea, and can't live without it. They really didn't care about what the Americans thought about the high taxes the British put on the Americans because America was a colony back then and colonies aren't allowed to have opinions. So when the Americans did such an act, they definitely did not see this coming. And so if you told an Englishman on how they felt about the Boston tea party, then they'll call it an absolute disaster for themselves.
