Giovanni Caboto (Born in 1450, died approximately in 1499) was an Italian explorer and navigator, best known for his voyages to North America under the English flag, and his landing in part of Canada, which later England ruler's claimed.
On March 5, 1496, King Henry VII of England authorized Giovanni Cabot to voyage in search of unknown lands to give to England.
