Drag each equation to show if it could be a correct first step to solving the equation

3(x+8)=42.

x+ 8 = 14
x+24=42
3x + 24 = 42
3x + 8 = 42
3(x+8)=126
(3*x)+(3*8)=42

yes no not enough

Sagot :

Ok so what you do is 42 divided by 3 and it would give 14 so you have to find out what you can do to add up with three that makes up 14 so I found that 6 is what you need to add up with 8 and that will you 14 and then you have to multiply by 3 and it would give you 42
