Answer:  at the age of 6 he moved to one of his family's farms ing Virginia called the Ferry Farm.. where he was allowed to play in the field where he planted his own garden, and when he was old enough his dad gifted him a pony to ride. He never went to collage because after his father died the funds were limited.
