I like to live in a Sun Belt.

Most of the Midwest and Northeast have harsh winters, and even the few parts that don’t would be gloomy. The Sun Belt is only harsh at high altitudes, and winters are short even where they’re mildly cold. Warm places like most of Arkansas and Tennessee can also grow many things that some temperate ones like most of Indiana and Kansas would struggle to.
