Basically the poem is talking about reaching our goals and the hardships that we face on the way. The second half talks about how the rose was able to live a long life because it kept its dreams. In Tupac’s case, he was the rose because he achieved his goals despite his circumstances growing up and living in the ghetto. The moral of the poem: determination and ambition can lead a person to the pathway of success despite the challenges that they face on their way.
