what was the purpose of the washington naval disarmament conference and the kellogg-briand pact? what prompted them? was the purpose accomplished?

Sagot :

At the end of WW1 the US, Great Britain, and Japan all started large scale programs of capital ship construction. This rapid construction led to a naval arms race. The Washington Naval Conference was held to limit warship construction on all sides. The Kellogg-Briand pact was a bilateral treaty to outlaw war caused by expansionist aggression.

Hope I helped. :)
