This led to many segregationists to become even more angry and outraged towards the blacks than before which led to them causing even more havoc towards the blacks in America especially in the southern states of the country. You could even argue that if Martin Luther King Jr. hadn’t given the speech that he wouldn’t have been assassinated in 1968 altogether. Although the speech had a major impact on many at the time of when the speech was given, it has kept on impacting people still to this day. Even though blacks are no longer being segregated in America, issues with segregation against different races are still taking place all over the world. Those people can look at this as an example of all people being treated as equals and to have peace between between all races and all different groups.
