My 7th grade teacher is holding a writing competition, winner gets $100. I have no idea what to write about. The story can be any genre.

Sagot :

I would start with what genre suits you best. Then I would kind of gather the plot that you would like and make sure that you can kind of invision it. Maybe start it like a worried character and then the genre can go to a horror action or something. Maybe start it something like

"There I was. On the smelly cold floor of who knows where. I couldn't remember a thing that happened."

Or something like that i don't know.

Answer:

Ok. THIS IS FICTIONAL.

Explanation:

Man Arrested for Kidnapping of 14 year old girl 1 year ago

The dreadful kidnapping

On February 17th, 2020 it was a normal day for Isabella on her bike ride  home from school, or so she thought. There had been a man stalking Isabella every afternoon lying in wait like a tiger with their prey, and on February 17th he finally pounced. Her parents were waiting for her at home, like they always did but when she didn’t appear at her usual time they had a terrible feeling something was wrong. First, her parents called her bestfriend Ava asking if they'd seen Bella to which she said Bella got her bike and went on her way home. Then, her parents drove her usual bike route and found her bike on the sidewalk along with her phone & helmet and as their stomachs dropped their worst nightmare had become a reality, their daughter had been kidnapped.

The investigation

Her parents knew a crime had been committed, they frantically called the police and the search began. Isabella's story quickly caught the medias attention, reporters on their lawns everyday, making headlines, and getting phone calls asking for interviews. All they wanted was to find their daughter. The police were unsuccessful in finding Bella, it was almost like she had disappeared in thin air! It seemed as though all hope was lost until January 5th, 2021.

Not all hope is lost

It had been almost a year since Bella's kidnapping, at this point her parents believed she was dead. They became shut ins but what more could you expect from a pair of grieving parents that just wanted their now 15 year old daughter. They had no hope of finding Bella until one fateful afternoon they got a strange phone call from an unknown number, thinking it was a reporter they let the phone ring. Until their phone was being spammed with calls and messages from the same number, getting annoyed Bella's father answered the phone angry, but when he answered all he could hear was some sort of heavy breathing. He yelled " Is this some sort of prank call " then he heard a voice he hadn't heard in a long time, it was a voice he missed, a voice he could never forget, it was Bella. She weakly mumbled " Dad ", confused, scared, and happy at the same time her Dad screamed, multiple thoughts started swirling his head as he called his wife and put her on the phone. After she heard Bella's scared voice all she could do was burst into tears, then the phone hung up, they quickly called 911 and told them what happened. The cops were there in what seemed as 30 seconds, they sent the number to their tech analyst to which they traced the number back to an address and found Bella.

The trial

It was found that her kidnapper Joe Corbett kept her in a 12 by 12 shed, in which she endured a year of physical and mental abuse. It was no doubt he had committed a felony and an aggravating factor was he was the only kidnapper and no one else knew of the heinous crimes he was committing. Joe's lawyer claimed there were mitigating factors because Joe " suffered from a series of mental illnesses ". But the prosecution claimed there to be concurrence, and men's rea since Joe had been planning the crime for a while. Bella testified explaining the horrible things he had done to her, most of the time she couldn’t speak properly due to how much tears were streaming down her face. Ultimately the jury ruled in the prosecutions favor sentencing Joe for 74 years, 24 years for first degree kidnapping, 30 years for first degree assault, and 20 years for first degree sexual assault, he would spend the rest of his life without the chance of parole in a high maximum security prison.

The aftermath

Bella would then struggle with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and many more other illnesses. But with the help of friends and family Bella gained the strength she needed to recover and became herself again, she'd go on to be on many talk shows discussing what had happen to her. Bella wanted other victims to know that they'd make it out of that dark hole their captors put them in, and they just needed to be strong and they'd make it out alive. She loves to read, write, swim, play sports, do makeup, watch tv and tons of other things. In the end I'm happy for Bella and her successful recovery and I pray for any other victims, and I hope other girls and boys understand that kidnapping does happen and there no for sure way it wont happen to you. Now I'm not saying to be scared of ever going into the outside world again but you need to be cautious because anything can happen.

AGAIN THIS IS A FAKE NEWS STORY WRITTEN BY ME EVERYTHING IS FICTION
