Hellen Keller was a woman who is born both blind and deaf. Helen was a rough child, she would scratch, bite or even punch. One day Helen's parents had such difficulty they decided to hire a special teacher just for Helen. Helen's first experience with the teacher was when they were in her family meadow near a water pump. Helen did not want to participate so Helen kicked and struggled to get away. But the teacher was persistent, forcing Helen to sit. The teacher started to pump. Holding Helen's hand wrote the word water on her hand and put her hand underwater. The teacher then asked her to repeat it back. That was the first time Helen understood what was happening and experienced joy and hope, even though the slightest touch of water and the palm of her teacher's hand pressing on her she felt that even the slightest touch gave her the most happiness.
