Upside down in the middle of no where (book) it talks about a girl and her family. It’s her birthday and she is expected to be old enough now to understand she is a women and how she needs to take care of her self. There is a big storm coming and the girl didn’t think much of it and didn’t tell her family about it because it was the same day her birthday party was going to be in. The storm hits and high winds pick up. The family told ever one to head inside the house to keep away from the storm. When things seem to be going back to normal and the winds stop blowing fast against the windows, a group of birds start flying in the sky and when they try to see what there flying away from. Water moves fast and burst right inside the house making everyone screaming and the water rises, so they try to make there way up stairs but not everyone made it. The dad and the girls little brother flow away and are taken under water we’re they can no longer be seen. The family makes there way up in the attic where they later on decide to climb out the window to go in the roof. There later on rescued and are heading towards a camp where they will be treated and cared for. The family then spot familiar faces which happens to be the dad and but no sign of the brother the dad then runs towards the family and they are all hug but they try asking where the younger kid is and the dad lowers his head and takes out a pair of glasses which was the younger boys. They all start hugging and crying because they take this as a sign that the younger boy didn’t survive. The book then ends leaving the readers sad about the loss.
