Social media provides connection for us. Whether you want to contact your friends, Or teachers for a question about your assignment. You can also support others.Those with anxiety find it easier to talk via social media than in person. There are studies that proved social media has made people happier. Social media is a huge target for cyberbullying though. You may share a little bit too much information. It's easier to compare yourself to others on social media and sulk on how much better their life is. Everything has it's pros and cons. I'm gonna have to go with cons on social media.
Note: It's not that I dont like SM, I do, It's just that if you're looking to make an essay, It's easier to talk more about the cons of social media since there is so much more.
