If pencils sell at 6 for 59 cents, how many pencils can be bought for $2.95?

Sagot :

P=Pencils(s)

n=Number of pencils that can be bought for $2.95

-------------------

nP=$2.95

----------------

But 6P=$0.59

So P=($0.59)/6

------------------

Therefore:

n($0.59/6)=$2.95

n=($2.95)/($0.59/6)

n=30

your right I mad a mistake what I really meant was she could buy 5 pairs witch means she can buy 30  pencils.
