I need to find ANOTHER WAY to write my Thesis Statement:

CURRENT thesis statement: Child abuse and neglect affect children’s health now and later, and costs to our country are significant. Neglect, physical abuse, custodial interference, and sexual abuse are types of child maltreatment that can lead to poor physical and mental health well into adulthood. People that suffered or is suffering from child abuse or neglect may act out such as behavior problems, not showing up to school, doing bad in school, no longer doing activities.
