Amine hormones are those that are released into the thyroid and adrenal glands. These hormones circulate freely in the blood. Among them are epinephrine and norepinephrine.

Eicosanoids are the hormones derived from arachidonate. Among them are the hormones called prostaglandins, thromboxanes and leukotrienes.
