Can someone please help me? The topic is the Civil War. The question my teacher asked was:
After participating in the group discussion, think about what you learned with the help from your peers. Write a short paragraph addressing the following questions:

A.) Did you receive any feedback about your main research question? What was the feedback?
b.) Did the discussion process help you generate new sub questions? What are those?
c.) How did the discussion process help you improve your research questions?

My answer was:
A.) Main research question: When and where did the Civil War take place, and who was the generals?
Feedback: The Civil war was fought between the United States of America and the Confederate States of America. These Confederate States are a collection of eleven southern states that left the Union in 1860 and 1861. The war began mainly because of a result of the long standing disagreement of the institution of slavery. The war was started on April 12, 1861 and it ended on April 9, 1865, almost 4 years later.
The Union Army consisted of 2,100,000 soldiers was twice the size of the Confederate Army, which consisted of 1,064,000. The American Civil War was the deadliest war fought in the American history. The Confederate Army General was Robert E. Lee. The Union Army General was Ulysses S Grant. On the last day of the war, Lee surrendered to Grant at Appromattox, Virginia. At his surrender, Lee spoke, and his words were intriguing.
"I feel that it is so, and regard it as my duty to shift from myself any further effusion of blood, by asking of you the surrender of that portion of the C.S. Army known as the Army of Northern Virginia."
This also includes the event known as The Battle of Gettysburg.

B.) New sub questions: What weapons were used in the Civil War? Who started the Civil War?
Answers: The weapons used in the Civil War included knives, swords, and bayonets. Firearms such as rifled musket, breech loaders, and repeating weapons. Artillery such as field guns and siege guns. They also used new weapons such as the early grenade and landmine.
The Civil War was started by the Confederate. On April 12, after Lincoln ordered a fleet to resupply Sumter, Confederate artillery fired the first shots, signaling the start of the Civil War.

C.) The discussion process helped me improve my research questions. It helped me because talking about the assignment, questions, and answers with a friend(s) made it less confusing.
