Strong winds caused the ship to lose control and steer into the side of the canal. While this may seem like a normal occurrence, what isn't is remaining stuck. While the ship was stuck for 6 days it caused a detrimental amount of damage. Reports state that this one incident could cost the world from 6 to 10 billion dollars worth of trade, just lost. Egypt wants to be compensated, and honestly, it turned into a huge mess.
