So, the diagonal of the of the rectangle is 24 units.

(b)

In a right angle triangle,

[tex]\tan \theta=\dfrac{Perpendicular}{Base}[/tex]

[tex]\tan 30=\dfrac{12}{Base}[/tex]

[tex]\dfrac{1}{\sqrt{3}}=\dfrac{12}{Base}[/tex]
