The perimeter of ABCD is 26 cm

The area of PQRS is 45 cm(squares)
Find the length of AB

The Perimeter Of ABCD Is 26 Cm The Area Of PQRS Is 45 CmsquaresFind The Length Of AB class=

Sagot :

Area of rectangle= LxW
45cm2 divided by 10cm = 4.5cm
B-C= 4.5cm
Perimeter of rectangle= L+W x2
26/2 =13cm -4.5= 8.5cm
QR = 10cm and the area of that rectangle is 45cmsq so to work out PQ you do 45/10 = 4.5cm
PQ= 4.5cm

As BC = PQ they both equal 4.5cm

and the perimeter of ABCD is 26cm you so 26- (4.5x2) = 17
and 17/2 = 8.5cm

AB is 8.5cm
