And PLEASE NO SCAMED WHAT IS WRONG AND WHAT IS RIGHT PLZZ HELP AND DO IT IN YOUR OWN WORDS BECAUSE MY TEACHER WILL KNOW AND HE WILL FLAGGED ME AND YES I AM N FLVS Science 6th grade so my teacher said i made a excellent hypothesis, recorded my data clearly, identified your variables accurately, analyzing how friction changes based on the surface texture. but what was wrong that i needed to add the total distance traveled for all 3 trials on each surface and then divide by 3 to get the average for each surface texture....

In this section please list ALL materials you used to complete your experiment, summarize the steps you took to complete the experiment and describe any difficulties or errors you encountered.

If an object rolls over (choose one type of material you used), then it will travel (choose one: the farthest distance/the shortest distance).

If the ball rolls over the carpet then It will travels the farthest distance.

For this lab I used the following materials: ball, books, carpet, floor tile, towel, ruler.

Short summary of what I did: (use words like first, next and last) First I stacked my books, Next I put my ruler next to the book last I put my ball on the top of the books and I let it roll down.

I experienced the following errors while doing my experiment: when I rolled the ball on the carpet it stopped at different centimeters per trial.

Test Variable/Independent Variable:

HINT: What was different about your test groups? What did you choose to test?

The difference about the test groups is they flooring, One was Carpet, Other Tile and Table.

I choose to test the ball if it were to stop at the same spot.

Outcome Variable/Dependent Variable:

HINT: What were you measuring? What data did you record?

I measure the ball rolling down the carpet, tile and table which provided me different data for each measuring.

Describe in your own words what friction is.

Friction is a force that opposes motion. Friction is basically the resistance of an object rubbing against another, such as a ball rolling down a hill, friction slows it down when rubbed against the grass.

Describe how friction affected the results of your investigation.

Friction slows down the ball if there no friction then it will make the object continue moving without slowing down.

Does an object travel farther on a smooth or slippery surface or on a rough surface? Why?

The object will travel on a slippery surface farther because when it slippery there no friction so it will travel faster.

Propose another experiment that could be used to demonstrate that friction is a contact force.

A hula hoops will twirl around you and it will stay in the air However it will have in upward force on your hips.
