- the crusades were a series of religious wars. the religious leaders at the time persuaded people by telling them that God wants them to fight in the war and would forgive them all their sins - this was obviously false.
- many people died during that time from various diseases - not just from fighting
- people were divided - racism and prejudice was huge. i would prefer to live in the modern day, where, for the most part, people are united.
- living in the crusade times, people were either very very poor or extremly rich. the poor people payed huge taxes, because every countries money went towards the crusade war - making some bankrupt. because of the huge taxes, people often didnt have enough food to eat.
-child labour - children fought in the war
