explain why the sun's light seems to be all around us instead of focused like a spotlight on the earth.

I think it’s because of earths rotation

Answer:

Hmmm

Explanation:

To be honest this seems to be a straight forward question but it's not at the same time. I mean obviously the sun is in the center and we just surround it. So it's light kinda just hits the whole Earth. In space or on the Moon there is no atmosphere to scatter light. The light from the sun travels a straight line without scattering and all the colors stay together. Looking toward the sun we thus see a brilliant white light while looking away we would see only the darkness of empty space.
