Well first if your late the teacher won't be happy so she or he won' go easy on you with work which will be bad if you don't understand so you will probably have a not so good day.
If I have a morning class period. I would try to get up an hour and a half before my class begins. Make some coffee and breakfast and go on a walk or run. Starting your day off by doing something productive will always help to set your days up for success. If I have an afternoon class. I would try to go to the gym before my class. Get my workout out of the way to focus on other important things after my class is finished.
