Answer:
Dear Kelly,
I hope you are doing well. I am a little shocked due to an uneventful and scary scene that I witnessed yesterday.
I was working at my office in the Manhattan Financial District when one of the skyscrapers from across the street caught on fire. The flames were on the upper floors, and the smoke was so thick that it was hard for my colleagues and me to breathe. We had to evacuate the building. The worst part was the people screaming for help and the unconscious people that the firefighters rescued from the burning flames. Police were also present to seclude the area, stopping pedestrians from going near the place. Also, there were paramedics carrying people to the ambulances and taking care of them. It was a shocking and scary situation.
Thankfully, no one died, there were only injured people, and the firefighters were able to control the flames preventing them from catching on fire the neighboring buildings.
Have you ever experienced a shocking event? I would like to hear about it.
All the best,
Karl.
Explanation:
A letter to a friend should have an informal style. We start our letter saying dear and the person's name or hello. Then we have to write the introduction. In this section, we ask the reader how she is doing and introduce the letter's topic. In the following paragraphs, we describe the scary event and how it turned out. Finally, we ask the reader if she experienced something like that and say our goodbyes.
