How did the Civil War "transform" Southern society? How was this transformation like that which took place in the North? How was it different?

Sagot :

Well my answer may or may not be right for that question, but, the civil war, of course, was started over slavery. The south fought for slaves and the north defended the slaves. The transformation was that the southern society gave up on the slavery and welcomed the African American decades later.(not sure if that helps)
