She was a 15 year old girl who was shot (luckily she lived) by the Taliban because she kept a diary about her fears of losing her education since in Pakistan in 2009 the Taliban decreed that all girls would no longer be allowed to be educated and she and her father were secretly working with reporters for the BBC and released her diary. she had a pseudonym but the Taliban found out who she was anyway. 2 years later at 17 she was informed that she had won the Nobel Peace prize for her efforts then and her continuous efforts to fight for education for girls.
