Apply How is the process of natural
selection involved in evolution?

Sagot :

so basically... natural selection is when species change and adapt due to their environment. This theory was proposed by Charles Darwin in the 1800s.

Species are able to evolve due to natural selection.

if you’re don’t know what natural selection is i’ll give a quick example:

To set the scene- there are two colours of mice, black and yellow.... and they live in a dessert.
so if a black mouse lived in a yellow dessert, it would be obvious to predators and it would be killed easily (rip). Therefore over time the black mice would mostly die off and the yellow mice would survive due to their ability to camouflage. This is a form of natural selection, where the better suited individuals outlast the disadvantaged ones. This allows the population to evolve and change into a popular with advantageous traits. .... meaning the population has evolved into a better one.

thus, natural selection plays a huge part in evolution- it is what allows species to adapt and change :)))))))) lol sorry if it doesn’t make sense
