Mouth parched with thirst, yearning for a few drops of water. A cool liquid to satisfy the itch at the back of the throat. Tying stones on the stomach in the hope for some relief to the aching feeling of hunger; a desperation these children have known since birth.
How is it fair that while we live our lives of luxury and comfort, these children fight for their lives with hunger and pain. While we get upset over a little more salt in our food than usual, these children try to fill themselves with dry, old leaves and muddy, harmful water.
Let’s bring ourselves together and end world hunger once and for all. Let’s learn to care for everyone. Let’s. Try. To. Be. Human.
