*for the historical circumstances Confucius developed his philosophy since he saw that the perceptions that the political government of his day completely  broke down, he attributed this collapse to the fact of those who wielded power  as well as those who were in subordinate positions did so by claiming titles that they were not worthy of.
*as for his action he spent 10 years  traveling to the whole of china's states for he had ambitions to attain a political position even though he failed he realized that since the warlike leaders would not listen he then instead returned to Lu and gathered devoted students and taught them every thing about his philosophy 

*lastly , affected the society of back then and even now even though china got over the defined roles they still respect hierarchy and  differences in status more than westerns.
