This biome covers about half of Africa, northern and eastern areas
of South America, much of India, large sections of southeast Asia,
and the north-northwestern rim of Australia. It is usually found in a
tropical region with distinct wet and dry seasons. With its scattered
trees and shrubs and thick grasses, this biome supports herds of
grazing animals and because of the herds, many predators. The
temperature of this biome generally ranges from 68 degrees to 86
degress
year round and has 10 to 30 inches of rainfall annually.
