It was the Act that created everything we have today. It was an Act that had our schools desegregated, gave us our rights to vote, and it resonates with America today. As to why it was so important was because back before 1964 people were discriminated publicly, and schools were separated. This Act had created the rights for the people to be able to prohibit anyone from being discriminated by their race, color, sex, religion, origin nationality, and gender identity.
