Briefly describe how nerve impulse transmission occurs from activation of a neuron to transmitting the message across a synapse to another cell, including the role of neurotransmitters and receptors

Sagot :

Answer:

When a nerve impulse reaches the end of an axon, the axon releases chemicals called neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters travel across the synapse between the axon and the dendrite of the next neuron.

Neurotransmitters are released into the space between the two neurons. This space is called the synapse.

Receptors receive and process the message, then send it on to the next neuron.

If you are asking about the Process its like

Dendrite --- Dendron -- Schewann Cell -- Axon -- Axonite -- Synaptic Knob --- Another Neuron

( It continues Until they reach Brain )
