An opening scene with a ghost, I personally believe it will be a spooky story. Considering the layout of the first couple seconds of screen play.
In a difficult situation, I think it is more important to think things over carefully. My reason behind this is; acting quickly can cause bad decisions while thinking things over is much more safe.
Young Hamlet must be heart shook and confused why ones mother would move on as a widow so quickly. I would feel lost mentally, along with ache in the soul as to why such decision was made so fast.
