Kyle received his paycheck in the mail today. However, he thinks there is a mistake in the amount he was paid. The total amount before taxes were taken out was $492.36. If the taxes totaled to $73.85, what should be the amount on his paycheck?

Help please. I tried doing this myself but when I take 73.85 from 492.36 I get 421.51, can you please help me figure out where I'm going wrong?

Sagot :

So you subtract 73.85 from 492.36.
Just check it on a calculator, 492.36 - 73.85 = 418.51

Answer:

Your simple answer is 418.51 I know..math is the worst
